MINISTRY VALUES:
Our heart for North
Kent Community Church is to be a ministry committed to serving Christ
and the Community. Our ministry values listed here are what motivate us
as church to fulfill our God-given purpose.
We
value sound biblical teaching from the Word of God - Acts 2:42-43
We
value a heart and life of Worship and Praise to God. Worship is the calling
of every believer. Praise is the natural by-product of such a calling
- Romans 12:1-2, Acts 2:47. We also see prayer, both personal and corporate
as essential to worship - Ephesians 6:18, Acts 2:42.
We
value meaningful and sincere fellowship that results in healthy relationships,
starting in the home and extending to our friends and neighbors - Luke
10:27. We see leadership development as a by-product of healthy biblical
relationships -
2 Timothy 2:2.
We
value children and youth and the need to minister to them through word
and deed - Mark 10:14-16.
We
value a world vision for Missions. We believe if you have a vision to
reach the world, you are equipped to reach your community - Matthew 28:18-20.r

MEANINGFUL MISSION:
We See Our Mission
at North Kent Community Church as passionately reaching the people of
North Kent County with the Gospel Message and equipping the saints to
fulfill their God-given destiny.
VITAL VISION:
North Kent Community
Church was established as a church plant from Eagle's Nest Church in Grand
Rapids, MI. We are a full gospel ministry committed to the solid teaching
of the Word of God. In addition, we recognize the ministry functions and
gifts of the Holy Spirit to the local church. We believe this balanced
teaching of "spirit and truth" empowers believers to fulfill
their God-given destiny. It empowers them to be an effective witness to
their family, friends and neighbors.
WE
SEE North Kent Community Church as an established, strong, healthy church
committed the solid and relevant teaching of the Word of God.
WE
SEE a church committed to a heart and life of worship and praise to God.
We value the importance of worship and praise in the life of a believer
and the ministry of a church. We believe a time of sincere worship and
praise encourages a believer to a deeper relationship with Christ. We
firmly believe a heart and life committed to worship produces a heart
and life full of praise.
WE
SEE a church that loves to pray and values the benefits of a vital prayer
life. We believe prayer to be an important part of a believer's life.
Thus, weekly prayer will be valued as important times of ministry.
WE
SEE a church inspired by a world vision. We believe that millions of people
from around the world need to know and hear the gospel message of Jesus
Christ. We desire to instill this vision in the heart of North Kent Community
Church by providing mission projects and trips. We believe it is the "greatest
commission" given to the church. We strongly believe that people
with a vision to reach the world are well equipped to reach their community.
WE
SEE a church committed to serving Christ and Community. We acknowledge
the strength and health of our church and community is dependent upon
the strength and health of our relationship to Christ. We see North Kent
Community Church being actively involved in our community in various ways,
from home groups, fellowship dinners, community events, recreational activities
and any other doors the Lord may open.
WE
SEE strong children's and youth ministries that teach biblical principles
in a practical way. We believe that children and youth desire healthy
relationships with adults they can trust and follow their example. We
see these ministries growing in proportion to the growth of the community.
WE
SEE North Kent Community Church owning it's own building and land to begin
establishing the ministry. We believe that given the transition and fast
growth of the community, ministry demands will continue to grow. Therefore,
we envision a facility able to accommodate the ministry growth over the
next three to five years.
